Police rescue 15 abductees in Zamfara
The Zamfara State Police Command has rescued 15 victims who were earlier abducted in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The development was disclosed in a post shared on X on Tuesday by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to the report, the victims were rescued by a police patrol team during a routine operation at about 3:30 pm. The team intercepted the victims, who had been in captivity since December 2025.
The rescued individuals were taken to Nahuche Primary Health Care Centre, where they are currently receiving medical attention.
However, the report revealed that not all the victims survived the ordeal, as seven of them were said to have died while in captivity.
It also noted that three other victims remain missing, with efforts ongoing to secure their release.
The police have reaffirmed their commitment to tackling abduction and ensuring the safety of residents across the state.
