Soludo faces backlash over alleged link to APC governors’ meeting

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, is facing criticism following claims that he was represented at a recent meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum in Abuja.

A party chieftain, Francis Okoye, accused the state government of indirectly participating in the high-level gathering with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He alleged that the Deputy Governor, Onyekachukwu Ibezim, attended the meeting on behalf of Soludo, despite it being exclusive to APC governors.

According to Okoye, images from the event showed the deputy governor seated among attendees wearing his signature “Solution Is Here” red cap, and later interacting with other governors outside the venue.

He criticized the move, accusing Soludo of engaging in covert political dealings with the APC while still belonging to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Okoye argued that such actions amount to political inconsistency, questioning why a governor from another party would be represented at a meeting reserved strictly for APC governors.
