EPL: Saha names most disappointing signing in Man United history

Former Manchester United and France forward Louis Saha has described Jadon Sancho as the most disappointing signing in the club’s history.

Saha said this while reflecting on Manchester United’s transfer business since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, noting that despite heavy spending, the club has struggled to achieve consistent success, including failing to win the Premier League since Ferguson left.

He pointed out that several high-profile and expensive signings such as Paul Pogba, Antony, Romelu Lukaku, Rasmus Højlund, Harry Maguire, and Sancho have not fully lived up to expectations.

Sancho, who joined United for £73 million in 2021, scored 12 goals in 83 appearances before spending time on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Aston Villa. He remains under contract but is expected to leave when his deal expires.

Speaking to BetVictor, Saha said Sancho showed enormous promise at Borussia Dortmund and called his decline at Old Trafford a mystery.

According to him, Sancho had the talent to succeed at United but failed to reach his potential, describing it as deeply disappointing given his abilities and early promise.
