Troops seize weapons, nab old age woman in Delta

Troops of the 63 Brigade/Sector 1, Joint Task Force (Operation DELTA SAFE), have achieved a major breakthrough with the recovery of arms and the arrest of two suspects in Delta State.

The operation, carried out in Ogidigben Community of Warri South West LGA, followed reports of sporadic gunfire.

Acting on credible intelligence, the troops swiftly moved in, recovering four AK-47 rifles, six magazines, 106 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, as well as knives, machetes, and other items.
The arrested suspects are currently in custody and undergoing investigation.

Commending the troops for their prompt response, Brigade Commander Brigadier General Moronfolu Abdulmoshood Shonibare urged them to maintain the momentum in ongoing operations.

He reaffirmed the military’s commitment to curbing criminal activities and warned those involved in illegal arms possession to desist, as intensified efforts are underway to bring offenders to justice.
