“We were never married” – Olakunle Churchill addresses viral divorce rumour with Rosy Meurer

Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill has finally reacted to viral reports claiming he and his partner, Rosy Meurer, are heading for a divorce.

In a detailed statement shared on his Instagram page, Churchill dismissed the reports as false, insisting that the claims making the rounds online are baseless and misleading.

“Let me address this directly. The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them, and they should be treated as such.

There was no legally recognised marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction. Therefore, the idea of a ‘divorce’ is baseless from the outset,” he said.

He further questioned the legality of the alleged documents being circulated, stating that he was never officially served any notice of such proceedings.

Churchill also took a swipe at those behind the claims, suggesting that inexperienced individuals and questionable legal practices may be fueling the narrative.

“I was never served. So I ask a simple question: what exactly is being presented to the public, and how was it obtained?

I am 100% sure that individuals without proper experience in the media space are advising Rosy incorrectly, alongside legal practitioners who operate under a mango tree and claim to produce divorce documents within 24 hours,” he added.
