The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has urged youths across the state to believe in themselves and remain hopeful about their ability to make a meaningful difference in society.

The wife of the governor further admonished young people to keep learning, stay healthy, and never underestimate the impact they can make in their communities and beyond.

Dr. Soludo gave the encouragement in a message to mark 2026 International Youth Day, where she emphasised the important role young people play in shaping the present and future of society.

She said, “Your ideas, energy and courage are needed in building the future we all truly desire.”

Dr. Soludo, who is the founder of Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, said young people are not merely the leaders of tomorrow but are already the changemakers, innovators, entrepreneurs, creators and problem-solvers shaping their world today.

She noted that society must continue to provide young people with the right environment and opportunities to develop their talents, pursue their aspirations and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities.

“As we celebrate International Youth Day, let’s continue to create spaces where our young people can learn, build, lead and thrive. Every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their potential and turn their dreams into meaningful impact. The world owes them that.

“To every young person in Anambra and beyond, believe in yourself, keep learning, stay healthy, and never underestimate the difference you can make. Your ideas, energy and courage are needed in building the future we all truly desire.
