The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Anambra State Chapter, has clarified that Mazi Onyedika Eweh remains the Acting State Youth Leader of the organisation pending the election of the Youth Wing.

The clarification followed what the group described as claims and assertions by individuals concerning the position of State Youth Leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide in Anambra.

Over the weekend, reports claimed that Mr. Ebele Ngini, a former Youth Leader of Njikoka Local Government Area, has emerged to the position.

But, in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Barr. Uzoh Ekemezie, the state chapter said its leadership, headed by Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, recognises Eweh as the acting Youth Leader.

The organisation said the election of the Youth Wing was scheduled to hold soon, after which a substantive youth leader would emerge.

It therefore warned individuals or groups parading themselves as the State Youth Leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Anambra State Chapter, to desist from doing so.

The chapter urged members of the public to disregard any contrary claim and take note of the clarification to avoid being misled.

Ohanaeze maintained that Eweh would continue to act in the capacity of State Youth Leader until the conduct of the scheduled Youth Wing election.
