The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has been named a recipient of the National Leadership Conference (NLC) 2026 Award in recognition of her contributions to social impact and community development.
Dr. Soludo was selected for the Excellence in Social Impact Leadership category, which honours individuals whose leadership and initiatives have made significant contributions to improving lives and strengthening communities.
In a letter notifying her of the award, the organisers congratulated the First Lady on her selection and confirmed that she would be honoured at the National Leadership Conference 2026 alongside other distinguished recipients.
The recognition comes on the heels of her sustained advocacy through the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, which has driven programmes on preventive healthcare, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, maternal and child wellbeing, environmental sanitation and healthy lifestyle practices across Anambra State.
Her interventions have included the distribution of menstrual hygiene products to schoolgirls, nutrition support for children, free health screenings, public health awareness campaigns and community-based wellness activities spanning the state’s 21 local government areas.
The NLC honour adds to a growing list of national recognitions for the governor’s wife. Only recently, she received the BudgIT Health Activism Award for her work in advancing preventive healthcare and community wellness through the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative.
