The Managing Director of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo on his 66th birthday, describing the governor as the architect of a quiet but far-reaching digital revolution that is transforming governance and public service delivery across the state.
In a goodwill message marking the governor’s birthday, Agbata said Soludo’s administration had positioned technology at the heart of governance, making it a strategic tool for improving service delivery, strengthening institutions, enhancing transparency and bringing government closer to the people.
He noted that since assuming office, the governor had consistently demonstrated that digital transformation is not merely a technology project but an essential component of building a modern, efficient and responsive state.
According to him, the administration’s commitment is reflected in its mantra, “Everything Technology, Technology Everywhere,” which has guided efforts to create a digitally enabled government capable of addressing the needs of Ndi Anambra.
Agbata said the state’s digital transformation agenda is evident in ongoing reforms, including the standardisation of government ministry, department and agency (MDA) websites and the adoption of the official .anambrastate.gov.ng email domain, measures he said are strengthening security, professionalism and public trust in government communication.
He described the reforms as foundational steps that are modernising public service and improving citizens’ interactions with government institutions.
The ICT Agency boss also highlighted the agency’s role in advancing the governor’s digital vision through the promotion of digital standards across MDAs, cybersecurity awareness, data protection compliance, digital infrastructure development and capacity building for public servants.
He said the agency’s focus extends beyond deploying technology to building sustainable governance systems capable of delivering long-term benefits to the people of the state.
Agbata further cited initiatives such as the SMART Anambra Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM), which provides structured channels for residents to communicate complaints and receive government attention, as well as the SmartGov BETA platform and NORA, the state’s artificial intelligence-powered digital assistant, as examples of the administration’s commitment to citizen-centred governance.
According to him, the initiatives are helping to simplify access to government services while promoting responsiveness, efficiency and innovation.
He added that Governor Soludo’s emphasis on artificial intelligence, data-driven governance and intelligent automation positions Anambra among states preparing for the future of governance.
“The quiet digital revolution taking root in Anambra may not always generate immediate headlines, but its impact will increasingly be felt in how Ndi Anambra interact with government, access services and participate in the development of their state,” Agbata said.
He described the governor’s legacy as one built on strong institutions, expanded opportunities and technology-driven innovation that will benefit future generations.
On behalf of the management and staff of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Agbata expressed appreciation to Governor Soludo for his unwavering commitment to building a digitally enabled Anambra and reaffirmed the agency’s resolve to support the administration’s vision of technology-driven governance.
He prayed for God’s continued wisdom, good health and strength for the governor as he continues to lead the state.
