Court to hear case against Tonto Dikeh May 11 Over alleged rights violation involving minor

A High Court in the Federal Capital Territory has authorized that legal documents be served via email to Tonto Dikeh in a fundamental rights case seeking ₦200 million in damages.

The lawsuit was initiated by human rights lawyer Ikechukwu Obasi on behalf of a Junior Secondary School 1 student from Durumi II, Abuja.

According to the suit, the actress allegedly subjected the minor to degrading treatment during a religious deliverance session held on March 6, 2026.

The claims state that the incident led to public humiliation, stigma, psychological distress, and violations of the child’s rights to dignity and privacy, as protected under the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria and the Child Rights Act 2003.

The case has been scheduled for hearing on May 11, 2026.
