NPFL: Kun Khalifat ready for Kano Pillars test – Uzoho

Kun Khalifat FC head coach, Obinna Uzoho, has expressed confidence ahead of his team’s crucial clash against Kano Pillars.

The Owerri-based side will host the four-time champions in a Matchday 36 fixture at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Sunday.

Both teams are under pressure to secure vital points as they battle to avoid relegation in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season.

Kano Pillars, managed by Mohammed Babaganaru, currently sit 12th on the table with 45 points, while Kun Khalifat occupy 18th position with 40 points.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Uzoho emphasized his team’s determination to secure victory despite the pedigree of their opponents.

“We are up against the ‘Old Dog’ of the NPFL. Sai Masu Gida is a team with rich history, but we are playing at home,” he said.

“We respect them, but we are not afraid. They may have the name, but we have the hunger—we want it more,” Uzoho added.
