Scotland: I’m always happy to help Celtic win – Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho says he is delighted to keep making a difference for Celtic after scoring yet another decisive goal from the bench.

The 29-year-old came on as a substitute to net the winner in Celtic’s 2–1 victory over Hibernian at Easter Road on Sunday afternoon, continuing his recent run of impactful performances.

It was his third match-winning contribution in as many weeks for the Scottish club. He had earlier scored the winner against Dundee at Dens Park, and also struck twice in extra time to help Celtic defeat St Mirren in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

Speaking after the game, the Nigeria international expressed satisfaction with his form and contribution to the team.

“I always feel great to come in and help the team to get the win, so I’m happy today. The whole team is happy, and especially the fans,” he told Celtic TV.

Iheanacho added that he remains focused on continuing to support the team in key moments as the season progresses.
