oão Pedro has expressed disappointment following Chelsea FC’s 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Monday.
The Brazilian forward, who got on the scoresheet for Chelsea, admitted he feels sorry for the club’s supporters after the loss at Stamford Bridge. A brace from Taiwo Awoniyi and another goal from Igor Jesus secured victory for the visitors.
Speaking after the match, Pedro acknowledged that the team must take responsibility for the performance.
“Everyone needs to look at themselves, including me. I feel sorry for the fans,” he said.
Despite the defeat, Pedro’s goal marked his 15th Premier League strike of the season (excluding penalties).
Chelsea will now turn their attention to a tough upcoming fixture against Liverpool FC at Anfield on Saturday.
