The Benue State Government has announced the passing of its Head of Service, Agbogbo Ode.
Ode reportedly died on Saturday after a brief illness.
In a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Serumun Deborah, the late official was described as an experienced technocrat and a highly respected figure in public service, whose death represents a major loss to the state.
The statement highlighted his reputation for integrity, dedication, and his significant contributions to strengthening the Benue State Civil Service.
According to the government, his time in office was marked by professionalism, diligence, and a strong commitment to improving institutional standards.
The state government also extended its condolences to his family, colleagues, and the wider civil service community, while praying for the peaceful repose of his soul.
