Police Chief attends book launch by Former IGP, highlights importance of research in policing
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Thursday participated in the official unveiling of two books authored by his predecessor, retired IGP Sunday Gabriel Ehindero. The event took place at the Conference Hall of the Police Resource Centre in Jabi, Abuja.
The books, titled Reflections on Policing and Security and My Adventure in Policing Nigeria, were presented at a ceremony presided over by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Speaking at the occasion, IGP Disu commended the works as valuable resources for modern policing. He encouraged officers to embrace research, proper documentation, and ongoing professional development.
According to him, maintaining institutional knowledge and understanding the progression of policing practices are critical for improving operational efficiency and strengthening adherence to the rule of law.
